When Mike Mizanin first appeared on the tenth season of MTVs Real World, he never thought he would become one the hottest entertainment entities in the world of professional wrestling. While Mizanin finally made it to World Wrestling Entertainment, it wasn’t an easy process to go from reality star to World Champion; from Mike Mizanin to The Miz and finally into the AWESOME one. The Miz kindly gave me some of his time during the busy SummerSlam weekend to talk about his experience in the business.

The Miz didn’t have the family pedigree in the sport of professional wrestling that other stars have. He worked hard to get where he is, but that wasn’t enough for some. When asked about the possibility of leaving the business years ago when the veterans in the locker room made it impossible for him to even come to the arena, Miz spoke candidly.

“I had to keep telling myself that I could get through it,” he said. “I almost didn’t like going to work, but finally I gained respect from all the people in the locker room and it became easier and easier for me. I am kind of glad I went through all that.”

F#ckers, F$@ers, F%#ckers, Im drunk tonight. So beaweare. So those girls I met last night, still cool girls. So anyways we went to my friend Timmy’s RR2 house and had a starter. We invited these girls they came and then went to their planned parties which is all good. So we end up spitting up some went to Rene’s some went to White Lotus we went to Cinespace and Deep which were great places. Those had stories but none like I’m about to tell. So I tell the girls I met yesterday to come to Deep and they come. They ask me for a ride but Owen Wilson needs a ride. Yes Owen Wilson Shanghi Noon Owen Wilson. So we end up giving him a ride and to give him credit he was faded but he didn’t attempt to introduce himself or talk to anyone in the car.

The WWE’s biggest show of the year, WrestleMania XXVII, is live this Sunday night from midnight on Sky Box Office

WADE BARRETT: I think that one will be won by John Cena. I think The Miz has done well to hold on to the title for as long as he has. I’ve competed a lot against John Cena and I know how good he is and he’s going to raise his game for WrestleMania. So I can see John Cena walking away with the title for that one.
