Six-Pack Challenge – R-Truth vs Dolph vs Kofi vs Jericho vs Miz vs Punk

Justin started explaining the match to the fans, then stumbled over his own words and recovered well. The first Superstar to get a pinfall or submission will be the last in the Elimination Chamber Match. R-Truth to the ring.

R-Truth is still standing in the ring talking to Little Jimmy. Dolph out with Vickie in two. Kofi comes bouncing out to the ring. Jericho out to the ring. Miz out to join them. Punk rounds out the match.

The bell rang and all except Punk rushed Jericho and attacked. They then split up, except Jericho who lays outside holding his neck. Then he looks over the edge, but finally climbs into the ring. Miz kicks Jericho back out. Miz then tries to gain a pinfall. Punk rushes Miz, but ends up eating corner and out. R-Truth out too. Kofi flies out onto Jericho and Miz. Dolph shows off an struts in the ring. Punk in on Dolph for two.

Ref’s are helping R-Truth from the ring. The doctors have decided that R-Truth could not continue in this match. They show what happened from a couple of angles. R-Truth came flipping over the top and was trying to / supposed to land on Miz, but things didn’t go as they should and R-Truth landed hard outside on his bum/lower back and his head/neck. The thumping noise of him hitting the floor outside the ring was gross. I can’t say if one of them was in the wrong spot at the wrong time as Miz was there, but seemed to have been thrown back a bit rather than actually catching R-Truth. I just hope R-Truth is okay. I don’t like to see anyone get injured.

Dolph splashes Punk in a corner. Miz is then whipped at him, but Punk moves. Clothesline to Dolph from Punk, then one fore Miz. Slam to Dolph, then drop kick to Miz for two. Anaconda vice on Miz, Dolph breaks it up. Punk locks it on Dolph and Kofi breaks it up. Punk whipped, but then end up on Punk’s shoulder for GTS! Kofi grabs the ropes and ends up flying out of the ring. Punk and Jericho in the ring. They stare at each other. They fans are hot for Punk and he calls for more. Jericho talks smack, but then Miz and Dolph in and attack to break this up. Blows on Punk on the mat from Dolph. Jericho ducks Miz’s clotheslines over and other until they double clothesline and both are down!

Vickie outside laughing and pointing at Punk. Dolph up, but Punk with a chop to Dolph, then blows. Punk up for a superplex, but then Jericho and Miz over, each grab one of Punk’s legs. Everyone goes flying, but Dolph gets the worst of that tower of terror. Even Jericho is holding his knee. Jericho pins Dolph, Miz pins Punk, the ref counts them both, but only two. Everyone up and out of the ring except Jericho who runs the ropes into Miz’s back elbow. Kofi rushes in to kick Jericho with trouble in paradise, but lands it on Miz. Kofi on Jericho, whips him, but eats a foot. Jericho off the corner with a big kick to Kofi for two.

Jericho on Kofi with a cobra clutch. The fans start chanting for Kofi as Jericho yells at them to shut up! Kofi elbows free. Kofi whipped, bounces off the corner and flies back on Jericho for two. Kofi still on Jericho with clotheslines and a drop kick. Kofi rolls Jericho up for long two. Back elbow from Jericho, but then Kofi rolls out of the way of the lionsault. Jericho blocks trouble and locks on the walls. Punk in with a knee to the back of Jericho’s head Jericho out of the match. Dolph in and pins Punk for two. Dolph ducks Punk’s kick to the head. Dolph up for the zig/zag, but Punk reverses it for GTS and hits it. Punk pins Dolph, but Jericho grabs Punk’s ankle and pulls him from the match.

Punk sent across announce. Jericho into the ring and pins Dolph for three. Jericho puts a foot on the bottom rope during the pin, but only to look more the heel, it did nothing.

Winner – Jericho

Video recap of Jericho winning the match. Punk down behind announce and Jericho puts the WWE Title belt over his shoulder, then sitting in the center of the ring the way Punk is so fond of doing. All sorts of screaming that sounds like it’s right next to the camera, right on the mic, but no females to be see. Punk finally looks up and see Jericho with his belt in the ring and glares.

WWE will tour the Middle East this week with three Raw live events in Abu Dhabi. The Miz did an interview with the Khaleej Times to promote the shows:

As the fan frenzy begins to take hold, WWE star The Miz talks about this weekend’s showdown in the capital

WWE THE RAW World Tour makes its debut at Zayed Sports City, International Tennis Complex in Abu Dhabi this Thursday, February 9 through to Saturday, February 11. This marks the second time within a year that WWE is bringing its World Tour to the Middle East.

“WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) is the biggest name in family entertainment today,” said Patrick Talty, general manager of Zayed Sports City.

“Their superstars are some of the most talented performers in the world. The fans will not be disappointed when they get to experience all the WWE excitement live and in person.”

“Hosting three live events in Abu Dhabi for the first time is a testament to the growing demand for the WWE brand in this region,” said Dominic Hayes, senior vice president & managing director, WWE International.

Here, former Real World contestant and current WWE favourite The Miz (aka Mike Mizanin) talks about the frosty reception he’s expecting in the UAE and being awesome.

What do you make of the UAE?

I have no idea what to expect really, but I know we have lots of great fans out there and I am sure they cannot wait to get a look at The Miz. They will not be disappointed, I can assure you.

What can the crowd in Abu Dhabi look forward to on the night?

Watching WWE on television is great, but live it is so much more. It’s like being at the best rock concert ever and I promise anyone who comes will leave being a WWE fan for life. The fans will see incredible matches with a mix of unbelievable athleticism mixed with soap opera, mixed with comedy, mixed with drama. Having been a fan myself, I guarantee they will never have experienced anything like this before.

What will WWE bring to Abu Dhabi?

The RAW shows mean fans will see the best. And when I say that I mean me. Everybody hates me and I expect the fans in Abu Dhabi to boo me out of the place. I want them to as like everyone else they never supported me from the start. But it doesn’t matter because really they know – like everyone knows – that I am awesome.

Are there any plans to make this event a regular thing?

WWE always gives fans what they want and if they demand it then I am sure we will be back.

How are you looking forward to your match up at the event?

I want the crowd to be in as much of a frenzy as possible and I’m excited to see what they will be like. You never know I might just go and win the WWE championship for them.

Cartoon Network has nominated four WWE Superstars for the brand-new “Here to Rumble” Award for best entrance at the second annual Hall of Game Awards on Feb. 20.

Ahead of his WWE Raw World Tour appearance in Abu Dhabi this weekend, The Miz tells tabloid! just what makes him so great

They are big and they are bad. As the champions of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s Raw brand get ready to rumble in Abu Dhabi for the first time this weekend, tabloid! introduces you to one of its star performers: Michael Gregory Mizanin, a.k.a. The Miz. or, as he might prefer, The Awesome One.

How did you come up with the name “Miz”?
My last name is Mizanin. My friends always used to call me Miz. I created the Miz character on The Real World back in New York, which is a reality show that was popular in America. Basically, I was the outcast of the show, nobody liked me and so I said, you know what?… I’m gonna make people like me. So I just told people off and I used to call it Miz. So people can’t get mad at me, they get mad at The Miz, my character that I brought.

Who do you want to make “irrelevant”, besides your current nemesis, R-Truth?
I’ve already made people “irrelevant”. If you really think about it, anyone who’s been paired with me were made into main event superstars. John Morrison, Alex Riley, The Big Show, R-Truth, the list goes on and on. And then what happens when they go away from me? They become “irrelevant”. Where’s Alex Riley right now? He hasn’t been on Raw [the WWE flagship show] in like a month. Then you got John Morrison. Where is he — fired. See ya, bye, ta ta! Future Endeavor, bye bye. Big Show, loses the World Heavyweight Championship match in 45 seconds. Congratulations, you’re a giant. You’re 7 foot tall, 400 pounds and you can’t even beat a little Daniel Bryan? Grow up kid. Then you got R-Truth, which I will soon make “irrelevant” very, very quickly.

For those who don’t know, describe your finishing move.
It’s the “skull-crushing finale”, and it is basically a full-nelson. I swipe your leg and I hit your skull into the mat, hence, “skull-crushing”. And it’s the last thing you’ll ever see, “finale”.

A lot of people said you wouldn’t make it in this business. How did you do it? How did you become a WWE superstar?
People always ask me, “How did you make it to be a WWE superstar because nobody wanted you here.” You know, the first three months I was here, people wanted me out, people wanted me fired. But hard work, dedication, and basically having the will to allow people to tell you you can’t do something but rising above it. And not like John Cena “rising above hate” either. That’s generic. This is the real deal.

How long do you think you’re going to do this?
Until it stops being fun, and I can’t imagine it never being fun.

What’s the best about being a WWE superstar?
Gosh, there isn’t just one best thing. From the travelling, I get to go amazing places like Abu Dhabi, I get to go to Qatar. I went to China. I’ve been all over America, all over South America. I’ve been everywhere I’ve ever wanted to go and dream of and even in places that I really don’t want to go, you know. But I’ve still been there and it’s incredible to have performed in front of tens of thousands of people, whether they’re booing you or cheering you.
I’ve gotten to do movies, I’ve gotten to do TV spots. I’ve gotten to do everything I ever could have dreamed of, WWE has given me. So, yeah, there’s too many things. Now is there hard stuff I hate about it? Travelling 17 hours is definitely not a good thing. It’s not fun, you know. Sitting there and watching the new remake of Footloose isn’t my idea of fun, but I did it. Good for me.

Name your top three wrestlers of all time.
Ultimate Warrior, The Rock and The Miz.

Some superstars have transitioned to Hollywood. Are you planning to do movies?
I did a movie. I just filmed a cameo in a movie that will be coming out in August. So definitely look out for that, because I’m amazing in it. I’m a method actor. I’m like Christian Bale and Daniel Day Lewis all wrapped into one. I really feel my characters, I really get into it.
As you can see I’m The Miz right now but when I leave here, I just tone down into Mike. But you know, you always got to feel your character and really understand him and where he comes from. Just the art of acting, you got to understand these type of situations.

Is it tough sometimes when you have to be in character when you just want to be yourself? Does it get tiring?
Every job gets tiring, but you just go through with it because of the fans. The fans really bring it out of you. Like sometimes you literally are so tired. Like, I just flew 17 hours and you just want to sleep and I guarantee when we fly 17 hours out here again we are going right to a show and do a show and be “on”. But that’s the great part of WWE. We’re like a family, we push each other to basically the best we possibly can be and put on the best show we possibly can. And so all three nights, February 9, 10 and 11, we’re going to put on the greatest show ever and it’s going to be great.

Any parting words?
I want you all to remember out there February 9, 10 and 11 you are going to watch me live and in person beat people up because I can. You want to know why? Because I’m the most must-see WWE champion of all time.
I am the person that people look at and go, ‘Oh my God, it’s The Miz. He’s a genius. He’s the man.’ Because I’m The Miz and I’m awesome.
