No Miz-taking success of this WWE superstar

He’s The Miz, and he must be awesome.

With so few spots on the roster — especially compared to the number of hopefuls worldwide hoping for that one big break — making it within WWE’s sports entertainment empire is a very difficult task.

The Miz met the task head-on, making the most of his opportunity to achieve a spot and then keep it. Not resting on any laurels, the WWE superstar continues to improve, climbing the ladder of success in sports entertainment’s top company, on its top TV show.

The Miz is one of the most hated WWE superstars, but that’s a good thing, because these sports entertainers want fans to either despise them or love them. Fans do despise The Miz, booing with every look, movement and sound.

The Miz retaliated by becoming a WWE U.S. champ, a WWE tag team champ, a World tag team champ and a WWE Unified tag team champ.

The Miz, in all his glory, will be in South Florida when WWE’s top TV show Monday Night Raw visits the AmericanAirlines Arena for a live three-hour special on June 7 in Miami. Cast members from the much-hyped, summer action movie The A-Team will be guest hosts, and the live broadcast begins at 8 p.m. on the USA Network.

What can South Florida fans expect from The Miz on June 7?

“Always expect the unexpected from me,” Miz said, “because you never know what’s going to happen. It’s Monday Night Raw. It’s live. It’s not taped. It is live in front of the thousands of people in Miami [the AmericanAirlines Arena seats 20,000], live in front of millions of people watching at home [Raw draws 4.5 to 5-million viewers].

“You never know exactly what’s going to happen. However, it is a three-hour Raw, so it’s definitely going to be a special Raw and with the cast of the [20th Century Fox movie] The A-Team hosting it. So you never know what’s going to happen. It’s going to be some kind of insanity when we’re there in Miami.”

UFC fighter Quinton Rampage Jackson portrays B.A. (Bad Attitude) Baracus, a role played by Mr. T in The A-Team action adventure television series of the 1980s. The A-Team movie is being released Friday, June 11.

NXT Coverage – 01/06

Matt is in the ring and he welcomes us to NXT. Matt says that one rookie’s dream will come true tonight. Before we see the three who could win, we see the five eliminated rookies and they are in the front row. Now it is time to see the pros who are still under contract with WWE.

Now it is time to meet the three remaining rookies. Out first is Wade Barrett, who is currently ranked number one. Out next is David Otunga, who is ranked second. The final rookie to come out is Justin Gabriel, who is ranked third.

Matt congratulates them for getting this far. Matt says that for the last fifteen weeks, they have cultivated a dream. Two will go home empty handed while one will become the newest breakout star to get a title match on pay per view. Matt reminds the pros that there will be two polls tonight. Matt says that they will be doubly scrutinized and all three will be in a Triple Threat Match.Josh talks about season two and we meet Husky Harris. He talks about how he is a third generation superstar. His pro is Cody Rhodes. The pros for the remaining rookies come to ringside as we go to commercial.

It is time for Matt Striker to meet with the pros who are not in the ring with their wrestlers so it is time for a vote.

It is now time for one rookie to take the walk of shame and turn in his wrestling boots. But first, it is time to hear from the other five rookies. Matt asks Michael Tarver who he thinks should be eliminated. Tarver says that he is the product. He would eliminate himself. Daniel Bryan is asked who should win NXT. Bryan says Otunga cannot wrestle and Gabriel cannot talk so that means that Wade Barrett should win. Skip Sheffield says that he doesn’t care who wins NXT. Darren Young says that his money is on Wade Barrett because he is build for this physically and mentally. He says that Wade will prove the haters in Texas wrong. Heath Slater says that he has been in the ring with all of them and he thinks that Wade Barrett should win and he says that it is obvious.

It is time for the Pro’s Poll and Wade Barrett is safe since he is still ranked number one. It is down to the two men who were eliminated in the first match. The bronze medalist of the first season of NXT is Justin Gabriel. David Otunga is safe for now.

Justin says that he is just a kid from South Africa living his dream, but now the dream is over. Gabriel says that he is the most tenacious person he knows. He will continue to come back until he makes it. He had some ups and some downs but he will come back so he can be the World Champion.

Matt stops Justin on the ramp and he says that he looked inside Justin and he sees a lot of Matt Hardy in him. He says that Justin might not have won but he will not die. He says that Justin has his future in front of him.

The two finalists are in the ring and it is time to find out if it will be Wade Barrett or David Otunga. First, the Miz interrupts because he has an important announcement to make. He says that the pros for season two have talked about their rookies. Miz says that he will be back for season two. Unlike this season, he won’t have an egotistical arrogant loser like Daniel Bryan. He will have a winner next season. Miz introduces Alex Riley.

It is time for the final Pro’s Poll and William Regal congratulates Jericho for having his man win the competition. Truth says that Regal is talking too soon. Regal says that the only good thing for Truth’s man is that he married well, but he saw his wife and isn’t that sure. Punk agrees and Truth reminds Punk that he has a mask on. Regal congratulates Wade for winning since he is a fellow Englishman. Regal wants to know what Truth is going to do about it. Regal says that he is tired of being on this show for fifteen weeks without knowing any better. Truth dances. Christian tells Regal to sit down because he hasn’t won in a year. Punk leaves while Regal and Jericho talk about Wade Barrett. Jericho says that if Skip Sheffield was his pro Skip would have won because he was his pro. Regal says that he loved Jericho’s two moves and he says that Wade would have won with any of them as his pro.

Matt tries to calm down the pros and he says that anything can happen in the WWE. That is why we go to the Pro’s Poll and your winner is Wade Barrett.

Wade celebrates and Jericho applauds his rookie.

It is time for comments from the silver medalist. David says that this can’t be real. He thinks that he is being Punk’d. Even Stevie Wonder could see that he is the next break out star. He says that he was eliminated from a reality show. He says that he respects someone who was eliminated from American Idol and became a bigger star than any of them.

It is time to hear from Wade Barrett. Wade says that it has a nice ring to it. He says that isn’t anything that he and Chris Jericho didn’t know from the start. He said that he was the best and he proved it. He says that he didn’t come to NXT or WWE for a pat on the back or anyone’s approval. He came to make a lot of coin. Barrett says that he has a title match. He tells the pros that he has some bad news because this is the start of a new era in WWE, the Era of Wade Barrett. He said the winds of change were blowing in the WWE and things change here. It is a change that will take Wade Barrett to the WWE Title.

NXT Coverage – 25/05

Matt is in the ring and he brings out the seven NXT pros, well six since Matt tells us after he introduces CM Punk that because of what happened at Over the Limit, CM Punk will not be out tonight, but they leave a chair open for him as a memorial to his lost hair.

It is now time for the four rookies who remain in the competition to come out. Matt congratulates them for making it to the semi-finals since they are the final four. Matt says that each of them wants to win so they can go on to become the WWE’s next breakout star and earn a title match on pay per view. Matt says that time to make an impact is fleeting. Matt lets us know that next week is the season finale. One person will be eliminated and will go home. Matt allows the rookies to talk to the pros and the WWE Universe.

We are back and Michael Cole is in the ring with security. Cole says that he knows the show is not about him, but he wants to talk about something that happened to him last week and he says that it was the most unprofessional thing to happen to him in his career. We go to the video tape.

Cole says that he has problems watching that and then he talks about the traumatic week. Cole says that he has been meeting with his team of attorneys and they suggested that he have his own security unit. Cole says that he can sue Bryan for everything that he is worth, but Cole says that he is going to be more of a man than Daniel Bryan ever was. He is going to let Bryan come out and publicly apologize for what he did. If he doesn’t apologize, then he is taking Bryan to court.

Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring. Daniel says that he is going to apologize and says that there is no need for security. Bryan says that being in the WWE is his dream and he doesn’t have a job now. He will do what is right. Cole wants to make sure that Bryan is going to apologize. Bryan says that he will apologize. Cole says that he will be a man about it and shake hands and let bygones be bygones. He wants Bryan to admit that he was wrong. Cole tells security to leave but stay at ringside.

Bryan tells Michael that he is sorry. He is really really truly sorry. He says that he is truly sorry. Cole wants to know if it is all over. Cole offers his hand and Bryan shakes it. Bryan says that he is sorry that Cole is the worst announcer in WWE history. Bryan says that Cole can’t even escape a handshake and hide behind security and an announce table. Bryan says that management has been holding him back. They put him with the Miz who was the worst pro. Bryan says that when Miz decided to show up, he only talked about himself. Bryan says that Cole never earned the job behind the announce table. Cole says that he ripped Bryan because he didn’t deserve it. Bryan says that he has more heart than anyone in the locker room. He says that he is the best wrestler in the back. Cole says that Bryan is no longer in the competition and maybe Bryan should look at himself in the mirror and stop blaming the Miz and himself. He says that Bryan should stop talking about the submission specialist because the only person to tap out in the competition was Daniel Bryan. Cole says Bryan tapped out because he is a loser. Cole says that losers have no heart. Cole slaps Bryan and Cole leaves the ring. Bryan is stopped by security. Bryan escapes security and he goes after Cole.

Cole holds his head and he tells Bryan to apologize while Bryan is taken to the back.

Miz says that Bryan doesn’t deserve to be here and he should leave. Bryan punches Miz and then security has to separate Miz and Bryan.

We are back and the rookies have graduated to the ring for the announcement of the Pro’s Poll.

Wade Barrett is still in first place despite losing tonight. David Otunga stays in second place with his victory.

Matt brings Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater to the spots of potential elimination. It is time to see that the man who is going home is Heath Slater because Justin Gabriel moved up to third.

Matt asks Heath for some parting comments. Matt asks Christian why Heath was eliminated. Christian says that he thought that the cards were stacked against him from the start. He said that it was going to be a dogfight and he needed to scratch and claw for everything. Christian says that he thought Heath could have done it. He says that Jericho only cared about Wade Barrett. Christian says that Heath has a bright future.

Matt asks Miz why he voted Heath Slater off was because he never showed the wow or gave his all. He never felt the passion. When you come to WWE, you bring it full throttle all the time. Some times he was good, but some times he was off and you can never be off in the WWE.

R Truth says that Slater was busting his butt and he did everything asked of him. Slater found out that it was a survival of the fittest and he wishes Slater luck in the future.

Chris Jericho is asked for his thoughts on Slater. Chris says it is axiomatic that Heath would be eliminated. He says that Otunga and Gabriel will be eliminated since Wade Barrett will be the winner. He tells Wade not to lose again to a clown like Gabriel or Otunga. He tells Barrett to start acting like he is the best. He wants to make sure that Barrett understands him.

Matt asks Heath for some final words. Heath says that all good things must come to an end. He says that he has done too much to go away. He was the first rookie to beat a pro and the first to win a challenge. He says that he was voted most impressive by the WWE Universe. He mentions that he had to lose to Kane to end his streak. Heath reminds Chris Jericho, a six time World Champion, a man who beat Stone Cole and The Rock in one night, that he beat Jericho. Heath says that they may have pulled the plug on the one man rock band, but be ready for the encore because he is going to blow their mind.
